Use your own web address (like yourname.com) instead of the github.io one.
Buy a domain. Get one from a registrar such as Namecheap, Cloudflare, or Squarespace Domains — usually about $10–15/year.
Enter it below and Save. Use the exact address you want, e.g. www.yourname.com or the root yourname.com.
Add the DNS records. In your registrar's DNS settings, add the records shown after you save (these are the "numbers" that point your domain at your site).
Wait for it to go live. DNS changes can take up to 24 hours; GitHub then turns on HTTPS automatically.
Reset to a new template?
This replaces your current design with a fresh template. You'll pick the template next, and nothing changes on your live site until you publish.
This discards all unsaved changes — text edits, images, and any pages you've added, renamed, or deleted — and reloads your site as it was last published.
